Dear Racquet Club members,
Construction is ongoing at the Club. The Brick Bodies
space was completely gutted in the first week of July. New
windows were cut in, the space painted, and great new carpet
installed. 90% of the new equipment is in place and ready
to go. A few more new pieces will be coming in the next
few weeks. The initial response from members has been “Wow!!!”.
Brick Bodies is now fully functional and available for members’
use. The hours of operation have been greatly expanded.
The next wave of construction is to expand and relocate
the Pro Shop to the opposite side of the lobby and to get
the front desk fully functional. The target for completion
of this is mid-August.
The exterior construction in the parking lot is also
complete. You will find parking and access much more convenient
than in the past, plus we have added about 40 new parking
spaces. No more fighting the fence and gate.
The BIG screen TV’s are up and ready for fall tennis
and football season. The new and expanded child care rooms
are built and painted with new flooring and lights. Child
care is a great bargain for our members and available now
(click here www.brickbodies.com/Clubs/GShome.html for more details). The steam room is undergoing a thorough
cleaning with the wall and floor tiles being regrouted.
We are pleased to announce that Janet Paulsen will open
the Jabi Tibo Café on September 1 (www.jabitibo.com).
Janet will feature specialty coffees and espresso, healthy
smoothies, breakfast items, sandwiches, soups, kid friendly
foods, and much more. We know our members will enthusiastically
welcome Janet and the Jabi Tibo Café. The Club’s alcoholic
beverage license is in the process of being transferred
to the new owners and we will provide beer and wine service
for members for the upcoming season. You don’t have to be
playing tennis or working out to visit. There will be lots
of reasons to come by.
This fall we hope to start offering some fun, educational
and unusual events at the club. We encourage you to sign
up for our newsletter for current updates from time to time.
The Club and Pro Shop continue to be open during the
renovation. Erin has many new things coming in for the Pro
Shop, many of which are already on display. The new and
expanded Pro Shop should be ready to go towards the end
of August.
Tennis Block Time is now wide open. Call to make your
reservations as good times are still plentiful, or better
yet, stop in and see us before the good court times slip
away.
